In 1929 Denis Riley married Gladys Barratt.   Here are just some ancestral records of their respective families starting with Denis and later the Hezmalhalch and Mallons.

3 Hezmalhalch 1699-1999. Denis’s grandfather was Charles Hezmalhalch Pounder and this led me to research everyone with that intriguing name. Always very rare, today there is only one surviving family in the UK plus a handful in the USA.

4 Manchester Mallons, Engine Fitters and their families in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. They all worked at Beyer Peacock’s Gorton Foundry.

5 Maudes, The Maudes of Burley-in-Wharfedale and Otley, an account of one small branch from the mid 1500s on.
